News Update

We are making progress to restart IdleAire service in the near future with our partners at the following sites. These partners understand the value of IdleAire services and are concerned, as we are, about the well-being and safety of the long haul professional driver. Our clean air solutions at these sites improve the environment and create better living conditions for our professional driver customers and for the public. We are moving quickly, so please check back weekly for the date of each upcoming site opening.

About IdleAire:

IdleAire provides filtered heating and air conditioning, electrical outlets, and a range of communications and entertainment options that allow long-haul truck drivers to shut down their engines instead of idling for cab comfort during daily rest periods. Over 150,000 professional drivers and more than 1,000 fleets have used IdleAire services.

Our customers save fuel and reduce operating costs by using our idle-elimination solutions, which include air conditioning and electric outlets. The entertainment and communications options available through use of our television and Internet access also enhance our customer’s lifestyle.

Professional drivers move the vast majority of all products used in the United States and their use of IdleAire played a key part in reducing America's dependence on foreign oil and improving the air quality for everyone. Since inception, use of IdleAire service saved over 50 million gallons of diesel fuel and prevented over 1.1 billion pounds of idling emissions from entering the air. In addition, the carbon footprint was reduced by preventing 519,000 metric tons of CO2 from entering the atmosphere.
